In 2007, ALBERT THE GREAT has sired 48 winners of 82 races, 4 Stakes Horses, earning $2,665,878, through the end of October, including NOBIZ LIKE SHOBIZ-G1, Albert Maximus-G2, Abby the Great, Barnett Shale.

He ran the fastest mile and a quarter by a 3-year-old in New York history. He sped the fastest mle and an eighth in Florida racing history. He earned $3,012,490, largely accumulated in graded stakes competition. He earned 15 Triple Digit Beyers. And he retired to stud absolutely sound, having made 22 starts in 21 months' time, while displaying a continued zest for racing.

He's Albert the Great, Tracy Farmer's record-breaking New York Grade I winner by a Kentucky Derby winner out of a quadruple stakes producer.

When he was racing, Albert the Great was dubbed the ³Beast of Belmont² for the way he dominated the 3-year-old races at Belmont Park. In 2006 and 2007, trainer Barclay Tagg unleashed his own monster - a big, imposing son of Albert the Great owned by Elizabeth Valando, named Nobiz Like Shobiz.

In his career debut, Nobiz Like Shobiz demoralized a field of 2-year-olds, winning by 10 and 3/4 lengths. His time of 1:35.26 would have won 41 of the 53 runnings of the prestigious Champagne S.-G1 contested at a mile.

Nobiz Like Shobiz ran a close second in the Champagne, then posted a breakout performance in the Remsen-G2, romping by 6 1/2 lengths. Nobiz Like Shobiz was awarded 122 lbs. on the Experimental, just five below champion Street Sense.

Nobiz Like Shobiz opened his 3-year-old season with a victory in the one-mile Holy Bull S.-G3 at Gulfstream, then became a Broadway star back in New York, with a thoroughly professional victory in the $750,000 Wood Memorial-G1 over Any Given Saturday.

Nobiz Like Shobiz was off the board in the Kentucky Derby, and second giving weight to Any Given Saturday in the Dwyer-G2. He first tackled turf racing at Saratoga, and won the National Museum Racing Hall of Fame S.-G2, Kent Breeders' Cup-G3 and Jamaica H.-G2 in succession.

With his catchy name and explosive turn of foot, Nobiz Like Shobiz proved one of the sport's most entertaining runners the past two seasons, winning seven times in 12 starts, including six graded stakes.
