DREAMING OF ANNA (04 f. o/o Justenuffheart, by Broad Brush), a MGSW and 2006 Champion 2YO Filly, was a game second in the Churchill Distaff Turf Mile [G3] on May 3. She stalked the pacesetter through most of the race, making a strong bid in the stretch, but was second at the finish, easily besting the rest of the field. Rahy's 40^TH graded stakes winner (from 80 stakes winners) is DANCING FOREVER (03 h. o/o Dancinginmydreams, by Seeking the Gold), who won the $200,000 Fifth Third Elkhorn S. [G2] going 1-1/2 m. on the turf at Keeneland on April 25. He raced in eighth in the early going, angled out turning for home, kicked into gear and won by a length. He's earned $347,870. Rahy's 152ND stakes horse is Philatelist (04 c. o/o Polent (GB), by Polish Precedent), who was third in the Gordon Richards S. [G3] going 1-1/4 m. at Sandown Park, also on April 25. Tejida (03 m. o/o Batique, by Storm Cat) was second in the $150,000 Grey Goose Bewitch S. [G3] going 1-1/2 m. on the turf at Keeneland on April 24. She set all the fractions, increased her advantage when asked with a furlong to go, but was outfinished by a half length. She has two graded stakes placings this year. The 80^TH stakes winner for Rahy is VERDANA BOLD (05 f. o/o True Legacy, by A. P. Indy & TCF GRAD), winner of the $150,000 Star Shoot S. going 6 f. on the all weather track at Woodbine on April 13 by a length in just her fifth career start. MILITARY MAJOR (02 g. o/o Ms. Teak Wood, by Woodman & TCF GRAD) won by two and three-quarter lengths going a mile at Aqueduct on April 16. PHILATELIST (04 c. o/o Polent, by Polish Precedent) won a 1-3/8 m. handicap on the all weather surface in England on March 29 by a half length. The race comment was, "He looks to be progressing apace and is strengthening up to suggest he can make up into a Group performer later this summer." DREAMING OF ANNA (04 f. o/o Justenuffheart, by Broad Brush) won the $175,000 Hillsborough S. [G3] going 1-1/8 m. on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs on March 15 by six and three-quarter lengths. She opened up late, "much the best". The Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies [G1] winner and champion 2-year-old filly has now earned $1,853,172 and has nine wins from 13 starts. He raced in eighth and ninth at the first three calls, closed up on to the heels of the leader on the turn, waited for room to the head of the stretch and then closed strongly for second spot. DREAMING OF ANNA (04 f. o/o Justenuffheart, by Broad Brush) won the $150,000 Endeavor Breeders' Cup S. [G3] going 1-1/16 m. on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs on February 16. RAHYSTRADA (04 g. o/o Ministrada, by Deputy Minister) won a 1-1/6 m. turf allowance optional claiming race at Gulfstream on February 8 by a half length. He stalked the pace, edged to the front approaching the quarter pole and was fully extended to hold off a Dynaformer colt. It was his third win in eight starts, for earnings of $96,085. VERDANA BOLD (05 f. o/o True Legacy (GB), by A.P Indy) won a 5-1/2 f. allowance at Laurel Racecourse on January 24 by a neck. She set a pressured pace, opened up some daylight at the eighth pole and then withstood a late challenge by a neck. It's her second win in three starts and she's earned $30,780. Owner: Edward A. RIO DE LA PLATA (05 c. o/o Express Way (ARG), by Ahmad & TCF GRAD) was ranked among Europe's top 2-year-olds this week when the World Thoroughbred Rankings were unveiled in London. The rankings, published by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities are the federation's official end of season assessments of the world's top horses. Rio de la Plata was rated at 120 pounds as a result of his victories in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere [G1] and the Vintage S. [G2]. He was second in the Irish National S. [G1] Owner: Godolphin. Winning for the second time in five days, QAASI (02 g. o/o Recording, by Danzig) won a 1-1/2 m. handicap in England on the all weather track on January 17 by five lengths, leading at throughout and drawing off through the straight. Rahy's 13^TH Grade/Group I winner is RIO DE LA PLATA (05 c. o/o Express Way (ARG), by Ahmad & TCF GRAD), who was an extremely impressive winner of the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (Grand Criterium)-G1 at Longchamp on October 7. Winner of the Group 2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood in early August, he spotted New Approach (IRE) too much of a headstart in the Group I National S. at The Curragh in mid-September but more than atoned for that race with this dominating performance.
