Already a proven sire of Graded stakes-winning colts and fillies, SKY MESA is physically a most attractive stallion from La TroienneÕs direct female line. I thought he was the best juvenile of his generation. The Pulpit cross with Storm Cat comprises fast and slow twitch muscle fiber for versatile runners, and SKY MESA is out of a stakes-winning sister to Bernstein, who also upgrades his mares. The third dam is La Mesa (Round Table-Finance, by Nasrullah-Busanda), product of the Nasrullah/Princequillo nick like Secretariat.

Of note, SKY MESA is linebred to La Troienne via three War Admiral descendants, and will be successful with more La Troienne via Bimelech and his best son Better Self (e.g. Unbridled's strain). He enjoys reinforcement of Buckpasser's dam Busanda, Mr. Prospector, and needs Tracery via Princequillo, His Majesty, Graustark and Dixieland Band. I like the cross with daughters of Red Ransom and More Than Ready.
