Saturday, November 24, 2018
Charge Ahead scored a game maiden special weight win at Woodbine on Nov. 23 in the second lifetime start for the 2-year-old Will Take Charge colt.

The chestnut juvenile is the 12th winner this year for Will Take Charge, who ranks fourth on the 2018 First-Crop Sire list.

On the lead the six-furlong trip, Charge Ahead held off the late charge of Awesome Wok N Roll to win by a head in 1:10.92 on the synthetic main surface.

Charge Ahead was bred by Track West Syndicate and is owned by Gary Barber

Charge Ahead is out of Golden Mean, a full sister to Canadian champion Peaks and Valleys and a half to Alternate, the dam of multiple graded stakes winner Alternation, as well as to the dam of MGSP Tip Tap Tapizar. This is also the family of recent GIII Bob Hope S. winner and TDN Rising Star Mucho Gusto.
