Perennial top juvenile sire Sky Mesa's first offering at the April 23-26 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training brought a winning bid of $300,000 during Tuesday's opening session

Consigned by Top Line Sale, agent, hip No. 242 was purchased by Charlie Boden, agent for Colts Neck Stables.

The bay juvenile is out of the Elusive Quality mare Lady Lavery, who is a half-sister to Sky Mesa's multiple Grade 2 winner Skylighter, and his third dam is Grade 1 winner Nastique. The colt had worked a furlong in a very quick :09 4/5 during last week's Under Tack Show.

Sky Mesa, the sire of the recent Mizdirection S. winner Eyeinthesky, has four additional lots remaining in this week's auction.
