First mares in foal to Horse of the Year Gun Runner
2017 Horse of the Year Gun Runner has wasted little time in transitioning from the racetrack to the breeding shed, with Graded Stakes producer But for Money (dam of GSW and G1-placed Eskenformoney) and Winchell Thoroughbreds’ Untapped (a full sister to Champion Untapable) both being confirmed in foal today (Feb. 27).

They are the first two mares bred to the fully booked Champion son of Candy Ride (ARG) in his first season at Three Chimneys Farm.

“We couldn’t be happier with the response from breeders to Gun Runner, and we are delighted that Gun Runner has adapted to his new job smoothly and with the kind of class he has always shown throughout his career” said Grant Williamson, Director of Stallion Seasons at Three Chimneys.
