Lady Zuzu romps in Keeneland MdSpWt score

Three Chimney’s Lady Zuzu showed why she is a former sales-topper with a dominating 6 ¼-length maiden special weight victory Oct. 9 at Keeneland.

The 2-year-old daughter of Dynaformer, trained by D. Wayne Lukas, topped the 2013 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearlings sale when sold for $1,225,000. 

Going long on the turf for the first time, Lady Zuzu began to pull away from her competition about half-way through the one-mile affair, winning easily in 1:37.17 on the firm turf.

Lady Zuzu was bred in Kentucky by Bluegrass Hall LLC. She is out of the A. P. Indy mare Indy Pick and is a half-sister to the multiple graded stakes winner Optimizer. Her dam’s siblings include multiple Grade 1 winners Finder’s Fee and Tax Ruling.
