Three Chimneys Farm's homebred 2-year-old filly Princesinha Julia won her third straight start and first stakes outing with a game victory in the Dec. 15 Trapeze S. at Remington Park.

The dark bay's wins have all come at a mile over the same surface, and with Sunday's win, her earnings are now up to $103,553.

Princesinha Julia, in post three, was between horses going into the first turn and dropped well off the pace entering the backstretch. Shuffled back to eighth entering the final bend, she threaded her way between horses and emerged in second at the top of the stretch. She ran down Caribbean Sea in the final furlong to win deceptively easy by a half-length (VIDEO).

Princesinha Julia could find her way onto the Kentucky Oaks (G1) trail going into 2020. The Steve Asmussen trainee is out of Love and Pride, a multiple Grade 1 winner around two turns, while her third dam Cara Rafaela, who is a half-sister to Bernardini, won two graded events routing at two.
