Rainha Da Bateria takes the Jessamine S. (G3) at Keeneland

Three Chimneys Farm’s Rainha Da Bateria earned her first stakes win with her victory in the $150,000 Jessamine S. (G3) for 2-year-old fillies Oct. 8 at Keeneland.

Last in the field of eight early, Rainha Da Bateria wore down her foes with a wide run in the stretch, winning by 1 ½-lengths under a well-timed ride by Joel Rosario.

Trained by Graham Motion, Rainha Da Bateria ran the 1 1/16 miles on a “good” turf course in 1:43.85.

A Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate, Rainha Da Bateria is a Kentucky-bred daughter of Broken Vow out of the Dixieland Band mare Amelia. The $90,000 winner’s check boosted Rainha Da Bateria’s earnings to $144,800 with a record of 2-0-0 from three starts.
