Sky Mesa filly a “TDN Rising Star” in Del Mar debut
Casino Call earned the coveted “TDN Rising Star” tag after her stellar maiden special weight score Saturday at Del Mar.

The 2-year-old Sky Mesa filly rallied from seventh after a quarter mile, closing strongly to win the six furlong contest by a half-length in a quick 1:10.49 on the fast main track (VIDEO).

A full brother to the stakes-placed Charleymillionaire and bred by his owner Red Oak Stable, Casino Call is out of the stakes winner Casino Transaction and hails from the same family as graded winner Mighty Magee.

Besides Casino Call, Sky Mesa is the sire of some 17 black type horses in 2015, with progeny earnings over $3.3 million.
