Strong Mandate 2yo rolls by 8 ½
Outandup put on a very impressive display in breaking his maiden Sept. 4 at Thistledown, striding to a 8 1/2-length win going six furlongs (VIDEO).

The 2-year-old son of Strong Mandate is the fifth winner for his Freshman Sire, all five coming in maiden special weight affairs and at five different tracks.

Outandup assumed command about half-way through Tuesday's race, then ran away from the field with complete authority to score as easy as possible.

The winner was bred by Three Chimneys Farm and Besilu Stables. Outandup is out of Sekmet, who is in foal to Fast Anna. Sekmet, a full-sister to Grade I winner In Lingerie, is a daughter of graded winner Cat Chat, who was a daughter of champion Phone Chatter.

Outandup is owned by Blazing Meadows Farm LLC.
