Three Chimneys sets the bar Keeneland September sale
Three Chimneys Farm went to $1.525 million to secure a colt by Distorted Humor during the second day of the Sept. 14-26 Keeneland September Yearling sale.

Consigned as hip No. 277 by Taylor Made Sales Agency on behalf of Stonestreet Stables, the colt is out of Forest Music, winner of the 2005 Honorable Miss S. (G2) and the dam of Kentuckian, a 3-year-old son of Tiznow who won this year’s Laz Barrera S. (G3).

"We looked at the pedigree and hopefully he'll be our next stallion. We may race him with Stonestreet. We're excited. Everything (impressed us)," Three Chimneys’ owner Goncalo Torrealba said. "You always go a little further (than you expect to pay), but the good ones are hard to come by."

"This colt, my son said, 'Do not sell this colt.' And this mare gets runners. I'm going to stay in for some of him," Stonestreet’s owner Barbara Banke said after the colt sold. "I love the mare. I have a painting of her in my dining room. She was super-fast, she raced every two weeks going around the country. And he looks like a runner, he acts like a runner. He worked hard every day and does everything right."

"We're discussing what we think on that. Three Chimneys is all about trying to build good partnerships so we always go in with the idea of a partnership," Torrealba said when told of Banke’s comments. "Partnering with good people is what we're about. We're very excited."
