War Chant Yearling Tops Magic Millions

Progeny of 2000 Breeders' Cup Mile-G1 winner and Three Chimneys stallion War Chant were in high demand at the Perth Magic Millions yearling sale.

War Chant, who shuttled to Australia's Yarradale Stud the past several years, was represented by a $250,000 filly that topped the sale, as well as two $200,000 yearlings, and one who sold for $170,000, giving War Chant four of the top six offerings sold.

The top-priced yearling was purchased by Yarradale Stud's Ron Sayers and is out of Most Secret, who has produced seven foals to race, all winners. Her Lonhro filly topped the WA sale last year at $260,000.

By Danzig, War Chant stands at Three Chimneys for a $10,000 fee.
