Highlights of Brilliant Speed’s Keeneland offerings include hip No. 2043, a filly out Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) winner Desert Stormer, who carried her brilliant racing career into the breeding shed, producing Grade 2 Beaumont S. winner Sahara Gold, who is the dam of $1.2 million earner and multiple Grade 1 winner Better Lucky; and hip No. 3510, the first foal out of the Big Brown mare Sweet Maple who comes from the immediate family of Gorgeous, a three-time Grade 1 winner of $1.1 million.
Standing at Three Chimneys Farm for $5,000 live foal in 2015, Brilliant Speed won over $1 million in his 3-year-old season alone, capturing the Toyota Blue Grass S. (G1) and the Saranac S. (G3) on the turf, and also placed in both the Belmont S. (G1) and Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1).
