Our stallion roster reflects the four criteria we require to stand at Three Chimneys: conformation, pedigree, race record and value.
We recruit the most sought-after candidates and then give them our best effort to maximize their health and their success at stud. From employing a pedigree analyst to consult with mare owners as they request seasons to the farm's stallions to riding our stallions daily and giving them as much turn-out time as possible, all of our efforts are in the best interests of the horses we stand at stud. To that point, we have limited our stallions¹ books to 110 mares for years and will continue to do that in 2010 and beyond.
The fees for our stallions follow and we welcome your application for nominations. Anne Peters, our on-staff pedigree and matings analyst, and Matt Giffen will be handling applications. We encourage you to talk with them about breed-back specials, multiple pare packages, and other options aimed at supporting breeders.
All fees will be payable when the foal stands and nurses, except for Dynaformer, whose fee will be due on September 1. Should you wish to pay the stud fee prior to September 1, you will receive a 7% discount. Should you pay the stud fee prior to December 31, you will receive a 3% discount.
