Three Chimneys Farm will host its annual open house and stallion show Monday through Friday, Nov. 4-8.

The farm’s eight stallions, headlined by 2017 Horse of the Year Gun Runner, will be available for inspection each day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will be served daily.

Gun Runner, whose first foals arrived earlier this year, bred more than 170 mares in 2018. His fee will remained unchanged, at $70,000, for 2020. Gun Runner’s first foals to go to auction will be offered at at the upcoming November sales at both Fasig-Tipton and Keeneland.

“I have been across the state to see most of the Gun Runner foals, and it’s an exceptional first crop. They’re good sized, well-balanced, athletic and have a lot of class. We couldn’t be more pleased about his prospects,” said Three Chimneys Stallion Director Tom Hamm.

Palace Malice and Fast Anna have both made a big splash with their first crop of runners this year. Palace Malice, whose fee for 2020 is TBA pending Breeders’ Cup results, has a trio of 2-year-old stakes winners, led by Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf hopeful Stuctor, who won the Pilgrim S. (G3) at Belmont Park. Fast Anna, at $10,000 for next year, also has three stakes winners to date, including two-time black type winner Fast Scene.

Sky Mesa, the veteran of the Three Chimney’s roster, has had a banner year in 2019. His latest Grade 1 winner Perfect Alibi took both the Spinaway S. (G1) and Adirondack S. (G2) during the Saratoga meet. Sky Mesa, who will stand in 2020 for $15,000, now has 70 lifetime stakes winners and 135 stakes horses lifetime.

Both Funtastic ($5,000) and Sharp Azteca ($10,000) will be standing their second season at Three Chimneys in 2020. Grade 1 winner Funtastic, by More Than Ready, is a half-brother to Horse of the Year Saint Liam and to the dam of Gun Runner. Sharp Azteca was also a Grade 1 winner and earned more than $2.4 million. Both sires will have their first in-foal mares at the November auctions.

Rounding out the stallions available for viewing are Will Take Charge ($15,000) and Strong Mandate ($5,000). Will Take Charge currently leads all Second-Crop sires by stakes horses and yearling sales average, while Strong Mandate is a top-10 Second-Crop sire by stakes winners and winners.
