Three Chimneys Farm will host its January open house and stallion show Monday through Friday, Jan. 13-17. 

The farm’s eight stallions, headlined by 2017 Horse of the Year Gun Runner, will be available for inspection each day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will be served daily.

Gun Runner, whose first foals arrived in 2019, bred 337 mares in his first two seasons. His fee will remained unchanged, at $70,000, for 2020. Gun Runner’s first foals to go to auction averaged $344,275, topped by a $750,000 filly at the Keeneland November auction.

Palace Malice, whose fee for 2020 was set at $25,000 following Structor’s dynamic score in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1). Structor, who also won the Pilgrim S. (G3) at Belmont Park, was named an Eclipse Award finalist in the 2-year-old male division. Fast Anna, at $10,000 for 2020, also had three stakes winners from his first crop, including two-time black type winner Fast Scene.

Sky Mesa, the veteran of the Three Chimney’s roster, had a banner year in 2019. His latest Grade 1 winner Perfect Alibi took both the Spinaway S. (G1) and Adirondack S. (G2) during the Saratoga meet. Sky Mesa, who will stand in 2020 for $15,000, now has 70 lifetime stakes winners and 135 stakes horses lifetime.

Both Funtastic ($5,000) and Sharp Azteca ($10,000) will be standing their second season at Three Chimneys in 2020. Grade 1 winner Funtastic, by More Than Ready, is a half-brother to Horse of the Year Saint Liam and to the dam of Gun Runner. Sharp Azteca was also a Grade 1 winner and earned more than $2.4 million. 

Rounding out the stallions available for viewing are Will Take Charge ($15,000) and Strong Mandate ($5,000). Will Take Charge led all 2019 Second-Crop sires by graded stakes winners, while Strong Mandate is a top-10 Second-Crop sire by stakes winners and winners.
