Will Take Charge’s $525,000 filly was the top price paid for the offspring of a first-crop sire during Tuesday’s session of the March 13-14 OBS 2-year-olds in Training Sale.

De Meric Sales, agent, consigned the filly, hip No. 152, which went to Ed Savant, Jr. The filly generated plenty of buzz when she worked in 10 seconds flat at last week’s Under Tack Show.

The chestnut juvenile is out of the Tapit mare Anchorage, who was twice stakes-placed and has three winners from as many starters. She is from the same family as multiple graded stakes winner and sire Broken Vow.

For the day, Will Take Charge had four lots sell for an average of $232,500. He has an additional six lot in tomorrow’s closing-day session.
