Three Chimneys and Besilu Stables’ Dubai Sky battled to a dead-heat allowance victory Saturday over the Gulfstream Park turf course, finishing on even terms with fellow Bill Mott trainee Hard to Port.

Sitting three or four wide most of the one-mile trip, Dubai Sky rallied from sixth to emerge from the pack with the lead with less than a quarter mile to run. Hard to Port came on late and the pair were side by side in deep stretch to finish together in 1:36.61.

Making just his third lifetime start, the 2-year-old son of Candy Ride is now 2-0-1 with earnings of $67,300. Bred by Besilu, Dubai Sky is a full brother to Twirling Candy, a four-time graded stakes winner of $944,900, and a half-brother to Del Mar Derby (G2) winner Ethnic Dance.
