Three Chimneys reported that the first foal sired by Eclipse Champion Three-Year-Old Will Take Charge, an earner of $3,924,648, was born at Siena Farm on January 13th.

The chestnut filly is out of the Graded Stakes Placed A.P. Indy mare Private Ensign who is a half sister to Graded Stakes Winner Ocho Ocho Ocho. The regally bred mare is a great granddaughter of the great Personal Ensign.

“She’s a beautiful filly, she looks just like her sire, I love her,” said Nacho Patino, Siena Farm’s General Manager.

Will Take Charge was campaigned by D. Wayne Lukas, and is a seven-time winner from 21 career starts, including notable victories in the Grade I Clark Handicap and Grade I Travers. The son of Unbridled’s Song, out of the blue hen producer Take Charge Lady by Dehere, was second to Mucho Macho Man by a nose in the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Classic.
