Three Chimneys announced today that Grade 1 winner Funtastic’s first foal arrived Monday night at 11:30pm at Nuckols Farm in Midway, Kentucky.  The filly is out of the Elusive Quality mare Tenshi, who is a half sister to Graded Stakes winner Something Ventured.  There are nearly 30 stakes performers within the first 3 dams.

“We are extremely excited about the arrival of Funtastic’s first foal crop.  Funtastic himself is very good looking, and was a highly talented athlete by dominant sire More Than Ready.  That, coupled with his regal pedigree, has all of us excited about the arrival of his first foals,” said Tom Hamm, Director of Stallion Seasons at Three Chimneys Farm.

By Champion Sire More than Ready, Funtastic was on the board 7 times in 11 starts, including a Grade 1 victory in the United Nations Handicap at Monmouth Park. He is a half brother to Horse of the Year Saint Liam as well as to the dam of Horse of the Year Gun Runner.
