Three Chimneys, as agent for Loooch Racing Stables Inc., sold Grade 1 winner Ria Antonia for $1.8 million at the Fasig-Tipton November sale on Monday evening.
The 3-year-old filly, cataloged as hip No. 131, went to prominent Japanese buy Katsumi Yoshida. The Kentucky-bred daughter of Rockport Harbor went through the ring just three days after her gallant fourth-place effort in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) Oct. 31 at Santa Anita.
Winner of the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1), Ria Antonia has racked up $1,525,496 in earnings. She also place in the Spinster S. (G1), Santa Anita Oaks, and Iowa Oaks (G3).
