Monday’s first session of the Sept. 10-23 Keeneland Yearling sale brought an excellent average return of $270,000 for Will Take Charge’s offerings, topped by a $410,000 colt.

Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency and cataloged as hip No. 137, the colt went to Sippican Partners. Looking very much like his sire with the distinctive white blaze and chestnut colt, the juvenile is out of Louisiana Times, a sister to three stakes winners that hails from the same family as graded stakes winners Time Limit and Miss Indy Anna.

Taylor Made also consigned hip No. 29, which went to Lael Stable for $325,000. Another chestnut colt, he is out of the stakes winner Humorous Miss, also the dam of Grade 2 winner Funny Proposition.

Will Take Charge’s first crop are 2-year-olds of 2018 and have already accounted for three stakes placings. The Three Chimneys stallion has a total of 61 lots cataloged in the Keeneland sale.
