Foie Gras turned in an impressive performance in her Dec. 28 stakes debut at Oaklawn Park, coming home a 2 ¾-length winner of the $135,000 Anywhere Overnight S.

The 3-year-old filly is the 15th stakes horse this year for Volatile, who is ranked in the top five on this year’s Second-Crop sire list in several categories, most notably by graded stakes winners and stakes winners.

Foie Gras, an impressive allowance winner at Churchill Downs a month ago, sat a couple lengths off the fast early pace set by Anakarina in Sunday’s six-furlong race. She moved up to challenge for the lead late on the turn, then strode away strongly in the stretch to stop the timer in 1:10.49 on a fast track.

Now 3-4-0 in 11 starts, Foie Gras has earned $314,451 for owners -Paradise Farms Corp. and P Shooter Stable. The bay filly was bred in Kentucky by E. H. Beau Lane and sold for $170,000 at the 2023 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Summer Yearling sale. Foie Gras’ dam Table Manners is in foal to Volatile for 2026.
