Foie Gras kicked off 2026 just like she finished off 2025 – with a stakes win – the latest coming Friday in the $135,000 Bugler S. at Oaklawn Park.

The 4-year-old daughter of Volatile, who won the Dec. 28 Oaklawn Answer S., now has three straight wins overall and sports a lifetime record of 4-4-0 in 12 starts, with earnings of $385,326 for owners Paradise Farms Corp. and P Shooter Stable.

Well-positioned between horses in fifth on the backstretch, Foie Gras move up deftly around the turn to get within a length of the lead turning for home. Under a full head of steam, she overtook Blue Fire with a furlong to run and moved clear handily in the final strides to win by 2 ¾-lengths in 1:10.82.

One of six stakes winners for Volatile, Foie Gras is out of Table Manners, an unraced half-sister to GISP She’s Got the Beat. Table Manners is due this season back to Volatile for a full sibling.

A top-five Second-Crop sire of 2025 with 13 stakes horses and four graded winners, Volatile is standing the 2026 season for $10,000 S&N.
