Creole Chrome captured his second stakes win of the year in spectacular fashion Saturday evening at Evangeline Downs when the 3-year-old Volatile colt rolled home an 18-length winner in the Louisana Legends Cheval S. [WATCH RACE]
A stakes winner at Fair Grounds in late February, Creole Chrome is one of six stakes winners and 10 stakes horses this year for Volatile, who is currently third on this year’s Third-Crop sire list.
After going three-wide around the first turn, Creole Chrome moved up to engage Wherethehitsare for the lead. Passing the half-mile mark, Creole Chrome easily began to distance himself from the field, and then turning into the homestretch extended his lead with every stride to win by as much as he pleased.
The winner is owned by Three Diamonds Farm and was bred by Gulf Haven Farms, LLC. The chestnut is 4-0-1 in seven starts and has earned $254,400.
