Three Chimneys’ leading Freshman Sire Caleb’s Posse tallied his own personal daily double on Oct. 13 with maiden winners Belmont Park and Remington Park.
A Breeders’ Cup winner and Eclipse Award Finalist, Caleb’s Posse now has six winners, including Girls Knows Best and Divine Kaleb, both maiden special and allowance winners.
The colt Sal the Turtle started the day with a 2 1/4-length victory at six furlongs at Belmont in his racing debut. The winner was bred by his owners Sequel Thoroughbreds and Bloom Racing Stable.
Later in the evening, the filly Sweet Posse was a game nose winner in a one mile maiden special weight affair at Remington. The dark bay filly was bred by Tracy Strachan and owned by the Elkstone Group LLC. The filly comes from the same family as multiple graded stakes winner Jaggery John.
