Early Voting showed he is a colt with a very promising future with his Dec. 18 debut win in a one-mile maiden special weight at Aqueduct (WATCH RACE).

The 2-year-old colt is the 24th winner for leading First-Crop sire Gun Runner, who recently surpassed the $4 million mark in progeny earnings. With two weeks to go in the year, Gun Runner is assured to finish 2021 atop the standings by earnings, graded stakes winners and black type winners.

Early Voting, a $200,000 buy at the 2020 Keeneland September Yearling sale, was away alertly from his outside post to contest an early three-way battle for the lead. My Brother Cam dropped back after three furlongs, leaving Early Voting and Sul Pharoah to battle for the top spot on the turn. Early Voting went to the lead on his own and then comfortably held off Matt Doyle to win by 1 ½-lengths in 1:38.41 on a fast track.

Early Voting races for Klaravich Stables and was bred by Three Chimneys Farm. His unraced dam Amour d’Ete is a full sister to the multiple stakes winner Irap and a half-sister to champion sprinter and venerable sire Speightstown. Early Voting has a yearling filly by Gun Runner and was bred to Three Chimneys’ Volatile this year.
