Exchange Rate’s Gracer, a stakes winner and Grade 2 stakes-placed in 2013, romped to a 10-1/4 length victory in the $100,000 Dearly Precious Stakes at Aqueduct on Saturday.

The win came after an impressive score in the $100,000 Marshua Stakes by three lengths.

Bred by Russell Jones, Gracer sold to trainer Anthony Dutrow in 2012 as a yearling for $150,000 at the Keeneland September Sale. She won for Dutrow in her second start before an interest in her was purchased by Three Chimneys Racing after her win in the Blue Mountain Juvenile Fillies Stakes at the end of 2013. She has raced in 2014 owned in partnership between Team D and Three Chimneys Racing.

Gracer has won four races in her six lifetime starts and has amassed $243,000 in earnings. Her Beyer Speed Figure of 96 earned in the Dearly Precious Stakes is the highest for a three-year-old filly in 2014 and is just one point shy of the highest Beyer for any colt in 2014.

Her sire, Exchange Rate, stands for $20,000 in 2014. Gracer’s victory is Exchange Rate’s third stakes win of the year.
