Top-10 First-Crop sire Palace Malice will have his first runners in the Breeders’ Cup on Friday when his stakes winners Structor and Crystalle go postward in the Juvenile Turf (G1) and Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1), respectively.

Strctor figures to be one of the top choices in the $1 million Juvenile Turf, race 6 at 1:52 p.m. PT, off his gallant win in the Pilgrim S. (G3) Sept. 28 at Belmont Park. The undefeated colt was bred by Three Chimneys and is out of Miss Always Ready, who won the Juvenile Fillies Turf (G2).

Structor was an $850,000 purchase at the OBS March Sale of 2-year-olds and is owned by Jeff Drown and Don Rachel. The bay colt drew post 2 in the full field of 14.

Crystalle drew post 7 in the Juvenile Fillies Turf, race 8 at 3:12 p.m. PT. Less than a length from being undefeated in her three starts, Crystalle won the P. G. Johnson S. on the lawn at Saratoga and has earned $105,800 for Tobey Morton and Chuck Hovitz. A $220,000 purchase at the same OBS sale, Crystalle was bred by Glendalough LLC.

Palace Malice has 13 winners and 3 stakes winners to date from his first crop. His 2020 fee will be announced shortly after the Breeders’ Cup.
