Wicked Halo shot out of the gate and never looked back in her two-length maiden special weight win Saturday at Lone Star Park (WATCH RACE).
She is the third winner in five starts for Gun Runner, who not only leads the First-Crop Sire list by earnings, but is also the leading First-Crop sire on the 2-year-old sales list, with an average purchase price of $338,166.
Wicked Halo, who was making her debut, covered the five furlongs on the muddy racetrack in :57.77. She is owned and bred by Winchell Thoroughbreds, who also campaigned Gun Runner.
Wicked Halo is the second foal out of Adirondack S. (G2) winner Just Wicked, whose full sister My Miss Lilly won the Gazelle S. (G2).
