Nine days after his first foal arrived in Japan, Gun Runner’s first U. S.-born foal arrived on Jan. 26 at Lane’s End Oak Tree.
The colt, bred by Japan’s North Hill Co., LTD, is out of the multiple black type-winning and graded stakes-placed Medaglia d’Oro mare Fiducia, who earned more than $1.4 million in her career. Fiducia’s third dam is Great Lady M, a seven-time stakes winner and the dam of Hall of Famer Lady’s Secret.
Gun Runner captured the 2018 Pegasus World Cup Invitational (GI) after being crowned 2017 Horse of the Year. After covering 171 mares in 2018, he stands the 2019 breeding season at Three Chimneys Farm for a fee of $70,000 LFS&N.
