La Verdad’s brilliant turn of foot was on display once again Wednesday afternoon at Saratoga as the 5-year-old daughter of Yes It’s True rolled to a four-length score in the $200,000 Honorable Miss S. (G2).

Despite the presence of Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1) champion Judy the Beauty, it was La Verdad who shone brightest with her front-running score. Judy the Beauty provided a stern test early as the duo zipped through a quarter mile in :22.47. La Verdad began to edge clear at that point and was never threatened afterward.

Coming home an easy winner, La Verdad covered the six furlongs in 1:09.14, just a second off the track record.

La Verdad’s impressive 2015 resume is a perfect four-for-four, with her in front at every point of call. Her graded wins this year include the Distaff H. (G2) and Vagrancy H. (G3) in addition to Wednesday’s score.

La Verdad, owned by Lady Sheila Stable and trained by Linda Rice, became a millionaire in her start prior to the Honorable Miss, the Dancing Renee S. at Belmont Park. Her lifetime record now stands at 14-2-0 in 20 starts, with $1,170,700 in earnings.

The New York bred filly is one of two millionaires by Yes It’s True and his all-time North American leading earner and is one of 8 stakes horses this year by her sire.
