First-crop sire Will Take Charge tallied his third winner on Aug. 10 at Ellis Park when the 2-year-old filly Lightscameraaction triumphed in a one-mile turf contest (VIDEO).
All three of Will Take Charge’s winners have come in maiden special weight races. The top-10 Freshman sire also got his first stakes horse when Red Zinger placed in the $100,000 Rockville Centre S. at Belmont Park.
Sent off the 3-2 favorite, Lightscameraaction was second through the first half-mile, then swiftly took over and drew clear. She was geared down late by Robby Albarado to win by 1 1/4-lengths.
Owned by Walking L Thoroughbreds, Lightscameraaction is out of Stop the Lights, whose three stakes-winning siblings include Grade 1 winner Cross Traffic. She was bred in Kentucky by Diamond A Racing Corp.
