The upcoming OBS March Sale will boast nearly two dozen 2-year-olds from the first crops of Three Chimneys’ stallions Strong Mandate and Will Take Charge.

Will Take Charge has a total of 14 juveniles cataloged in the March 13-14 auction, while Strong Mandate has nine individuals set to sell.

Buyers will get a sneak preview of all the lots at the Under Tack Show, which will be held daily at 8 a.m. from March 8-10.

Will Take Charge was the leading First-Crop Yearling sire of 2017, with 63 lots sold for an average of $169,190. His $975,000 yearling purchased by Willis Horton at Keeneland September was the top price paid in 2017 for a colt by a first-crop sire.

Strong Mandate also had exceptional yearling sales results. He ranked fourth by average and also had the top-priced filly of 2017 when Live Oak Plantation paid $825,000 for hip No. 198 at the Fasig-Tipton August Yearling sale.

The OBS Sale starts each day at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time and can also be seen live at www.obssales.com.
