Will Take Charge’s final horse to go through the ring at the OBS March 2-year-olds in Training sale on Wednesday brought a winning bid of $410,000 from John Oxley.
Will Take Charge, whose first foals are 2-year-olds of 2018, had five lots sell over the two-day auction, for an average of $268,000. His $525,000 filly sold during Tuesday’s session was the top price paid for a filly by a Freshman Sire at the auction.
Oxley’s acquistion, hip No. 507 consigned by Tom McCrocklin, agent, is out of the Grade 2-placed mare Painted Woman.
