Tyler’s Tribe looked like a star in the making after he rolled through the Prairie Meadows stretch to tally a 16 ¾-length victory on June 20 in his first lifetime start [WATCH RACE].

The 2-year-old dark bay is the fourth winner for Sharp Azteca, second-best on the 2022 First-Crop Sire list.

Going 4 ½-furlongs, Tyler’s Tribe burst out of the gate from post 10 and immediately took the lead. He had a bit of trouble negotiating the turn, but once he straightened for home, he took off and separated himself further from the field with every stride. The official winning margin was 16 ¾-lengths.

The winner is owned by Timothy Martin (also his trainer) and Tom Lepic. Tyler’s Tribe was bred by Clifton Farm and Derek Merkler and is the first foal out of the Mission Impazible mare Impazible Woman.
