Tyler’s Tribe crushed the field by 8 ½-lengths in the $122,000 Prairie Gold Juvenile S. at Prairie Meadows, the second eye-catching win in as many starts for the 2-year-old son of Sharp Azteca (WATCH RACE).

The dark bay is the first stakes winner for his sire, who is second by winners on the First-Crop Sire list.

Tyler’s Tribe, who won his June 20 debut by 16 ¾-lengths, used his considerable early turn of foot once again on Saturday, going immediately to the front without being asked. With no threat of any competition, Tyler’s Pride was hand-ridden the entire trip and finished the 5 ½-furlongs in 1:03.64 on a fast track.

In his two wins by a combined 25 ¼-lengths, Tyler’s Pride has earned $106,554 for trainer Tim Martin, who co-owns with Thomas Lepic.

Tyler’s Tribe was bred by Clifton Farm and Derek Merkler and is the first foal out of Impazible Woman.
