First-Crop sire Sharp Azteca had his best result of the young 2-year-old sales season Tuesday at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-old sale when a filly by the Three Chimneys stallion hammered for $300,000.

Hip No. 538 was consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, agent, and purchased by Ten Strike Racing following a bullet :10 second-flat breeze during the Under Tack Show.

Omar Ramirez previously purchased the dark bay filly for $50,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton July sale.

The filly is the first foal out of the Daaher mare Munjazaat. Her worldly female family includes three-time European champion and multiple Group 1 winner Gold and Ivory and American 2-year-old champion colt Anees.

Sharp Azteca entered stud in 2019 following a stellar career that included six graded stakes wins, topped by the Cigar Mile (G1) and earnings of nearly $2.5 million. He stands for $5,000 S&N.
