Sharp Azteca became just the second First-Crop sire to have five winners on June 20 when Sharp Catch captured a five-furlong maiden special weight race at Camarero Race Track in Puerto Rico.

Sharp Azteca, who trails only Bolt d’Oro by winners on the Freshman Sire list, now has winners in three countries and at five different racetracks.

Sharp Catch won her debut in front-running style, controlling the pace the entire trip and gamely digging in to hold off Ethical Lady by a neck.

The winner is owned by Establo Cinco Hermanos and bred in Pennsylvania by Heart Hill Farms LLC. Sharp Catch’s dam is also the dam of the Santa Anita Park stakes-placed colt Mac Daddy Too.
