Three Chimneys Farm and Harrell Ventures unveiled a well-regarded 2-year-old in stellar fashion Friday at Churchill Downs when the 2-year-old colt Stayin’ Out Late drew off to win a 6 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race by nearly eight lengths.

The chestnut colt was named a ‘TDN Rising Star’ after the win, which was officially recorded as 7 3/4-lengths.

Bred by Gainesway Thoroughbreds and Whisper Hill Farm, the son of Tapit is out of Graeme Six, who won the Winning Colors S. (G3) over the Churchill oval. She has produced six winners to date, including Delightful Joy and Cali Star, both graded stakes winners.

Graeme Six foaled a full brother to Stayin’ Out Late in 2019 and a full sister this year. The owners purchased Stayin’ Out Late for $200,000 at the 2019 Keeneland September Yearling sale.
