Structor kicked off the Saturday card at Saratoga with a commanding performance in a 1 1/16-mile turf maiden special weight for 2-year-olds, moving to the lead at will at the top of the stretch and winning in hand as he pleased (VIDEO).
The bay colt was Palace Malice’s most expensive 2-year-old to date after selling for $850,000 at the OBS March Sale earlier this year. He was also the 10th First-Crop winner for Palace Malice, making him one of only three freshman sires with double-digit winners.
Structor is owned by Jeff Drown and Don Rachel and trained by Chad Brown. Bred by Three Chimneys Farm, Structor is the first foal out of Miss Always Ready, a daughter of multiple stakes winner Miss Seffens and full sister to Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G2) winner More Than Real. Miss Always Ready foaled a full sister to Structor this February.
