The price was the second-highest figure for any lot for a sire represented by his first crop. Will Take Charge’s 2018 2-year-old sales average is $290,000 ranks first among First-Crop sires with at least five lots sold.
Wavertree Stables was the consignor of the $600,000 colt, hip No. 158. The winning bidder was Ed Savant, Jr. The chestnut Kentucky-bred is the second foal out of Louisiana Times, who is a half-sister to Vagrancy H. (G2) winner Hour Glass and two additional stakes winners.
