High Regard wore down MO Wheels Up with a determined stretch drive to break her maiden by a length on Sept. 14 at Churchill Downs (VIDEO).

The 2-year-old filly is the fourth winner for her sire Will Take Charge, who also got his first stakes horse earlier this month when Lightscameraction was a good second in the $400,000 Exacta Systems Juvenile Fillies S. at Kentucky Downs.

Racing in the familiar colors of G. Watts Humphrey, Jr., High Regard came from fifth with a sweeping, three-wide move on the turn to engage Mo Wheels Up in upper stretch. The two battled gamely until the final sixteenth, when the winner exerted herself to take the top spot.

Bred by Coteau Grove Farms, High Regard is out of the stakes-placed mare Highest Class and is a half-sister to the stakes winner Chocopologie.
