Leading First-Crop sales sire Will Take Charge had a $220,000 filly during the second session of the April 24-27 OBS 2-year-old sale, the latest in a season of excellent auction results for the Three Chimneys stallion.

Mike Ryan, agent for Marc Keller, was the winning bidder for hip No. 362, consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc., agent.

The chestnut filly, who had worked an eighth-mile in 10 2/5 during the Under Tack show, is out of the Mineshaft mare Flowerbomb, who is a half-sister to Florida Derby (G1) winner Materiality and Gazelle S. (G2) winner My Miss Sophia.

Will Take Charge’s 2-year-old sales average of $267,222 is third-best among all 2018 First-Crop sires. He has an additional 8 lots cataloged in the final two days of the Ocala auction.
