A filly from the first crop of 3-year-old champion Will Take Charge sparkled in her Under Tack breeze on Thursday in preparation for the March 13-14 OBS 2-year-olds in Training Sale.
The chestnut filly, hip No. 152, covered the eighth-mile in 10 seconds, just an eighth-second off the fastest time of the day [WATCH VIDEO].
Consigned by de Meric Sales, agent, the filly is out of the multiple stakes-placed Tapit mare Anchorage, who is a half-sister to the graded stakes-placed colt Holiday Promise. The filly’s third dam, Wedding Vow, is the dam of multiple stakes winner and leading sire Broken Vow.
Will Take Charge was the leading First-Crop Yearling sire of 2017, with an average of $169,190. He has a total of 14 lots cataloged in next week’s sale,which starts both days at 10:30 a.m. ET.
