Little Rocket drew off to five-length margin to win the $50,000 Susan B. Anthony S. Saturday at Finger Lakes Racetrack, the first stakes win for the 4-year-old daughter of Yes It’s True.
Little Rocket was one of three winners on May 17 for her sire; Ultimate Shopper took a seven-furlong allowance at Belmont Park and got her first career win in a maiden special weight contest at Monmouth Park.
After settling in fourth for the backstretch run, Little Rocket began her winning move midway on the turn, rolling up to take the lead with a furlong to run. She completed the six furlonga in a final time of 1:11.45.
With the fifth win of her career, Little Rocket improved her lifetime earnings to $196,790 for owner Barry K. Schwartz.
Little Rocket is the third stakes winner and fourth stakes performer out of sprinter How About Now, who won the Grade 2 Schuylerville S. at two. She is the dam of Grade 2 Go For Wand S. winner Lovely Lil and multiple stakes winner Sweet Sweet. She also has a yearling full sister to Little Rocket.
