THE GRADE I BROTHER TO GUN RUNNER

A half-brother to Horse of the Year and leading sire Gun Runner, Ottinho hails from one of the most accomplished families in modern American racing
In only his fourth career start, Ottinho qualified for the Kentucky Derby (G1) with a runner-up performance in the $1,250,000 Grade 1 Blue Grass Stakes—a race that produced the fastest two-turn Beyer and Ragozin speed figures for 3-year-olds in 2026.
Just Getting Good – Like his half-brother Gun Runner, who captured his first Grade I in the Clark H. and full-sister Pretty Ana winner of the Comley S.(G3), Ottinho showed the promise of a family that only got better with time
A winner at 2 – Ottinho broke his maiden at 2 before stepping into Graded Stakes company at 3

“He announced himself as one of my Derby horses late in his 2-year-old year. After breaking his maiden impressively at 2, we started mapping out a Classic campaign. In just his fourth start, he qualified for the Derby with a runner-up performance in the Blue Grass (G1) which remains the fastest two-turn race for 3-year-olds in 2026. On the track, he reminded me of some of the best Gun Runners I’ve had, namely Sierra Leone and Early Voting.” – Chad Brown
