Foie Gras pulled away from the field with three furlongs to run to sail home a 7 ½-length winner in the $300,000 Misty Bennett Pink Ribbon S. at Charles Town Races on Aug. 28.
The 4-year-old daughter of Volatile now has three career stakes wins, all coming since Christmas, and has also placed in both the Chicago S. (G2) and Winning Colors S. (G3) over the summer.
Sent off as the post time favorite in the seven-furlong race around two turns, Foie Gras sat in an ideal spot on the outside of horses in third through the first half-mile. As the field entered the final turn, she quickly joined the pacesetters and went by them without resistance. She widened from there, finishing with a flourish to win in hand.
Foie Gras is owned by Paradise Farms Corp., P Shooter Stable and Emcee Stable LLC and is now 5-6-1 in 16 starts, with earnings of $697,176. She was bred in Kentucky by E. H. Beau Lane.
A top-four Third-Crop sire of 2026, Volatile has accounted for six stakes winners and 11 stakes horses this year, led by Grade 1 Churchill Downs S. winner T O Elvis.
