Will Take Charge’s graded stakes-winning filly Will’s Secret was assigned post 11 in a full field of 14 3-year-olds set to contest the $1.25 million Kentucky Oaks (G1) Friday at Churchill Downs.
The Willis Horton Racing LLC homebred earned her trip to Kentucky with a pair of stakes wins in the Honeybee S. (G3) and Martha Washington S. at Oaklawn Park. She was also third in Ashland S. (G1) at Keeneland.
Will’s Secret, who will tote 121 pounds, will be reunited with jockey Jon Court, who has been aboard for five of the filly’s seven lifetime starts. Trained by Dallas Stewart, her earnings stand at $383,300.
The Kentucky Oaks is race 11 on Friday’s stakes-laden card, with a post time of 5:51 p.m. ET. Racing from Churchill Downs will be televised live from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday.
Led by Will’s Secret, one of her sire’s five stakes horses in 2021, Will Take Charge is in the top five on the 2021 Fourth-Crop Sire list.
